At Simpson University, a number of girls have given up blow-drying their hair this month, while campus men are showering in the dark. All this and more is being done to aide the relief effort in Haiti.
How do these measures add up to a relief effort? It all started February 24, with the launching of Residence Life's 2nd annual competition "Waste Not For Those Who Have Not.

On April Fools' day, 2009, Popcap Games (makers of Peggle and Bejewled) announced Plants vs. Zombies with a ridiculous animated music video featuring a sunflower singing about how we do not want zombies on our lawn (seriously, look it up on Youtube). Being April Fools' day, it was praised for being one of the better pranks of the gaming industry that year.

What does one do without a car? Well, one day, three adventurous college students without cars decided to find out. They started out on Shasta View Drive and headed towards Lema Ranch. On the way there, they brainstormed: they could start out small and take advantage of the Simpson campus! There was basketball in the backcourts, climbing on the rock wall, Frisbee or soccer in the fields, kite flying or ordering pizza while reading children's books (namely Dr.

Nitelife, one of the biggest occasions on campus, has arrived. Students, as well as locals, will converge tonight on campus to witness Simpson's finest in an annual display of hilarity and community.

Nitelife has traditionally been an exhibit of talent in which ten groups of students (give or take a couple) take the stage and perform their little hearts out, of course accompanied by flashing lights and musical genius.

Daily Devotional (Love)

Love: this is a word with which we are all familiar. Love is not just a four-letter word found in the dictionary, or something that we celebrate on Valentine's Day. Love is something much bigger and deeper than this. We have all experienced love in one way or another--whether it is romantic love, the love of a family, or the love between friends--we have all encountered love.

There is a problem at Simpson University that brings into question the priorities of this type of institution. The main purposes of an academic community should be to focus on intellectual refinement as well as to foster the birth and continual shaping of ideologies.

Big Changes are in Store for Student Loans at Simpson University

Unless you've been living under a rock, I'm sure you know that our country has been in a credit crunch for the past few years. The student loan market was no exception. Many lenders have stopped providing student loans, or current lenders often sold the student's loan to the government because they simply do not have the resources needed to maintain these loans over 10 to 20 years.
