Quartet Graces At Simpson

The internationally renown 'Leipzig String Quartet,' donned Simpson University's gymnasium Monday, February 1st. This German group was founded two decades ago and has performed in venues from Carnegie Hall to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

How did the quartet end up at Simpson? The music department has a budget to further music education.

"Biology is the most difficult major at Simpson University,"according to Simpson University's website.

The Biology program is very rigorous because there are many different programs related to the many fields of sciences; including the Pre- Nursing program launched in 2007.

ROTC Update

With a 15 passenger van filled to capacity, the Simpson ROTC program left campus in the pre-dawn darkness on 23 October for the Fall Field Training Exercise (FTX). Conducted at Camp Parks in Dublin, California, this semi annual training exercise has become so popular among cadets that several in the program had to be left on campus due to transportation constraints.

Is Our Generation Entitled?

In a sermon I heard recently,
the speaker claimed that this new
generation, my generation and yours,
is called "The Entitled Generation." What this meant, he explained,was that our generation feels as though they are
entitled to privileges.

We think we deserve a
guiding hand to help us through the transition to adulthood and to take
some of the burden of responsibility away.
